Ulster Refs conference

Sean Walsh, Chairman of the National Referees Administration Committee attended a meeting of the Ulster Referees Committee on Monday 27 June at the Garvaghey Centre.

A number of County Chairpersons and Secretaries were among the 41 people in attendance.

He acknowledged the extremely difficult but vitally important role that our referees and indeed, all our match officials play in the running of our games.

Areas such as the role of the Referees Administrator, the Referee Pathway, Referee Advisors and upcoming courses were discussed in great detail.

Pictured on the night were: (L to R): Jim O’Rourke (Ulster Referees Secretary), Dickie Murphy (National Referees Advisors Chairman), Sean Walsh (National Referees Chairman), Jim Murray (Ulster Referees Chairman), Mick McGrath (Member of Central Referees Appointments Committee) and Michael Hasson (Uachtarán Ulster GAA).
