Three big sports put focus on Health and Wellbeing

August 7th, 2017

The joint sports partnership of Ulster GAA, Ulster Rugby and the Irish FA Foundation are hosting a Multi-Sport Volunteering Forum ‘Stay in the Game – Promoting lifelong wellbeing through sport’ on Thursday 31st August 2017 from 6:30pm-9pm in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh GAA.
This FREE event is open to all clubs across the three sports and will focus on promoting health and wellbeing initiatives for older volunteers and members to ensure lifelong participation and focus on health.
The volunteering forum is funded by the Department of Communities and will showcase examples from sports clubs on how they have catered for older members of their community through health and wellbeing initiatives.  The Forum will also include a health fayre where sports volunteers can receive free and confidential information across a range of health issues, and hear at first hand from some of the health agencies providing community services to promote wellbeing.
This multi-sport volunteering forum is a must for sports clubs interested in developing their health and wellbeing offering.
