125-pennant.pngIn 2009, the GAA is celebrating the 125th anniversary of its foundation in 1884.

There are a number of key events taking place throughout 2009 to mark this special anniversary.

GAA 125 Schools Day – Friday 24th April 2009

This day is to celebrate the founding of the GAA 125 years ago. It will focus on our primary and second level schools right across Ireland. We are encouraging all schools to get involved. The 24th of April is an opportunity for fun inside and out of the classroom.

Lá na gClub – Sunday 10th May 2009

Every member of the GAA should mark this special day of celebration by participating at events in their Club … the real driver and engine of the GAA. Lá na gClub is about celebrating our communities; our own GAA people; and our GAA Clubs. Lá na gClub will be an important barometer as to the strength of the GAA. It’s our unique chance to set our Club wares and one that we should seize.
