KS1 Physical Literacy Programme
Our Key Stage One Physical Literacy Programme is funded through the Department of Education and is based in Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone.
The objectives of the programme are as follows:
- the development of the generic physical literacy skills of pupils in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 through participation in enjoyable physical activities.
- to help raise pupils’ self confidence and self-esteem, their motivation to learn and their achievements in other curricular areas particularly literacy and numeracy.
- to raise the confidence and skills of, and support to, primary teachers in delivering PE.
