Sports Capital Programme 2015 launched in the 26 Counties
The Department for Transport Tourism and Sport has this week announced the launch of the Sports Capital Grant Programme 2015. The programme opened on 10th March and is the main sports-specific capital grant programme available to GAA clubs in the 26 counties.
A fund of €40 million is available for development of sports facilities and the purchasing of sports equipment.
Applications are now sought from sports clubs, voluntary and community groups, national governing bodies of sport and local authorities. Third level colleges, Education and Training Boards and schools may only apply for funding jointly with sports clubs.

Applications can only be made online; and clubs will need to register through the online registration system “OSCAR” beforehand.The OSCAR registration deadline is Friday 10th April by 5pm. To register clubs will need to quote their Tax Registration Number (TRN).
Obtaining your TRN:
• You will need written confirmation of the TRN from the Revenue Commissioner prior to completing the registration process either in the form of a tax clearance certificate or a letter from Revenue confirming your TRN. This can take several days so get on this.
• All you have to do is complete the 1 page form Registration Form for voluntary non-profit making organisations and return to your local Revenue Office. It should take around 10 working days to get written confirmation of your TRN.

Your County Development Officer is aware of the programme and should you require assistance with your application contact your county development officer and he will endeavour to set-up a 30 minute slot when the club can meet/speak with Ulster GAA staff to review your completed application.
