Sport 4 Peace is a major cross-community and cross-border sports programme led by Ulster GAA, in partnership with the Irish Football Association, the Football Association of Ireland, and Ulster Rugby.

The project is funded through the PEACEPLUS Programme, which supports peacebuilding, cooperation, and positive community relations across the region.

Over four years, Sport 4 Peace will bring young people, schools, clubs, and community groups from across the nine counties of Ulster together through shared sporting activities, workshops, and leadership opportunities.

Sport 4 Peace will:

  • Create safe, inclusive, and welcoming shared spaces through sport.
  • Support meaningful cross-community and cross-border participation and collaboration.
  • Develop leadership, confidence, teamwork, and communication skills in young people.
  • Strengthen partnerships between schools, clubs, community organisations, and sports bodies.
  • Build long-term relationships across towns, clubs, and communities in the region.
