Highlights of the Ulster GAA ‘Live to Play’ Oscars

April 8th, 2016

Check out the highlights from the 2016 Live to Play ‘Oscars’ held in the Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey.

Now in its second year, the ‘Oscars’ recognise winning and highly commended schools who emerged from entries to a Road Safety video competition held by Ulster GAA.

Four schools were shortlisted from the many entries submitted to the competition to attend the award ceremony. The Garvaghey venue was given a touch of Hollywood glam as pupils from the schools arrived to pick up their prizes.

St. Dallan’s Primary School from Warrenpoint emerged as the overall winners on the day and received customised Live to Play playing kits in their school colours.

Holy Family Magherafelt, Tattygar PS Lisbellow and St. Malachy’s Armagh were highly commended for their efforts and received their own ‘movie’ billboard, personalised to their individual film entry.

The event formed part of Ulster GAA’s delivery under funding sourced through the DOE’s Road Safety Grants Scheme.
