Secretary of State attends Bank of Ireland McKenna Cup Final
Secretary of State the Rt Hon. James Brokenshire, MP attended tonight’s Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup final in Newry this evening.
Speaking at the game Michael Hasson, President of Ulster GAA said:
‘’I was very pleased to welcome James Brokenshire MP, Secretary of State to the Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup final between Derry and Tyrone.
Tonight marks the first occasion that a Secretary of State has attended an Ulster GAA match. I hope that Mr Brokenshire enjoyed the great atmosphere provided by both teams and we would warmly welcome him back to one of our games in the future’’
