Coaching & Games Development Conference 2016

The 12th O’Neill’s Ulster GAA Coaching & Games Development Conference will take place on Saturday 6th February 2016 in the Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown.

The theme of this year’s conference will be ‘Growing and Developing Hurling in Ulster’ and will focus on the essential ingredients required to develop the game at youth and adult level in Ulster.

The delegate cost of £25 includes lunch and a delegate pack.

Special guest speakers at the conference will include former Cork and Limerick manager and current TG4 analyst Donal O’Grady, former Kilkenny All Ireland winning captain and 9 time All-Star DJ Carey, Paudie Butler and National Hurling Development Committee Chairman and former Tipperary selector, Paudie O’Neill.

There will also be a series of informative workshops, including:

– Managing the load of the multi-panel inter-county player
– Starting on the right foot: Mental preparation for peak performance
– Video camparison of Munster and Ulster hurling and strategies to address the differences through coaching/training activities
– Academy Squads: Higher performance or player development?
– Camogie development workshops with Kelley Fay and Mary O’Connor
