| Playing Background : Terence is a member of the Padraig Mhic Phiarsis club in Kilrea, Co. Derry where he has played, coached and managed for over forty years. He has represented his county in hurling and football. He has numerous juvenile medals playing along side Kilrea’s most famous player Martin O’Neill.His greatest personal achievements were winning an All Ireland Vocational school’s medal with Antrim and an All Ireland runners up minor medal with Derry. |
| Professional Role : Terence’s main role is to implement the GAA Grassroots to National Programme (GNP) with it’s aim to maximise participation and optimise playing standards in Gaelic games through out Ulster. This involves coordinating the Core Underage Stragetic Plan (CUSP) from Primary/National, Post Primary/National, Juvenile Clubs, Development Squads to coach education.Terence is also the line manager for the 20 new Primary Schools Coaches. This role involves tutoring the coaches the new Primary School curriculum at Foundation and Key Stage 1. |

| Playing Background : Jimmy is a member of the Naomh Eoin club in Belfast, where he won Senior, Junior and Minor Gaelic Football and Minor Hurling Championship titles. Jimmy has represented Antrim at all levels in Hurling and at Under 21 Gaelic Football. He also represented Ulster in the Railway Cup in the 80’s. |
| Professional Role : Jimmy’s role within Ulster GAA will be to: Lead with the implementation of the Ulster Hurling Strategy. Assist the Director of Coaching and Games Development in the administration of the development of hurling as a key priority through the Ulster GAA Strategic Plan. Lead the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the Hurling elements of the Ulster GAA Strategic Plan. Co-ordinate and manage the work of the Ulster Regional Hurling Development Officers in the implementation of the Core Underage Strategic Plan. Assist in the development of support measures that will improve and make more effective existing and future hurling coaching structures. Oversee the delivery of the annual GAA Cul Camps within all Ulster Counties. |

| Playing Background : Roger studied at Queens University Belfast where he graduated with a BA (hons) Degree in Economic and Social History. While at Queens he played Freshers and Sigerson football winning a Ryan Cup medal in 1983 and managing the Seconds team to an All-Ireland final. He captained his club Gortin to an historic Senior County final appearance in 1984 and later managed them to their second Intermediate Championship success and promotion to Division 1 in 2003. Roger represented Tyrone Seniors at right half back from 1985-6. Roger, who has lived in Killyclogher for the past 20 years also managed the local club in 1998 when they were promoted to Division 1A. More recently he plied his trade in Carrickmore where he helped the club achieve back to back county titles as well as the U-21 title and reserve league. As a former Coaching Administration Officer for the Tyrone County Board between September 2003 and November 2005 Roger was responsible for putting in place the Core Underage Strategy and structures that have seen Tyrone continue to churn out quality players. As High Performance Manager in SINI 2005-2009 Roger was responsible for overseeing the development of the GAA athletes in the Sports Institute. |
| Professional Role : As Coach Development Manager, Roger is responsible for the Coach education Tutor training programme. Roger also works with the Regional Development Officers in the delivery of coaching related programmes and oversees the work of the Third Level Development Officers. |

| Playing Background : Kevin has represented St Patrick’s College, Maghera, his Club, St Colms Ballinascreen and County Derry at every level in Hurling. Kevin has also played football for Ballinascreen mainly at an underage level. Kevin continues to play for the Ballinascreen club hurlers and has coached a number of teams from U6 to Senior Inter-County across the province. |

| Playing Background : Sheena played her club football with Galbally Oonagh Celts where she won a Senior County title and was an Ulster Club Finalist in 1993. From 1993-1997 she also played for Tyrone Ladies as well as playing and captaining the University of Ulster Jordanstown team in 1996 & 1997 where she received an Ulster Colleges All-Star Award. Sheena has recently retired from competitive football but is still heavily involved in her club in both underage coaching and refereeing. She has also held numerous positions on club and college committees. |
| Professional Role : Sheena had been working as Ulster Games Development Officer for Ladies Gaelic Football with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association since 2007, but in Jan 2010 she began employment with Ulster GAA where her remit is once again development of Ladies Gaelic. Sheena works with clubs, county boards and Ladies Ulster Council in the development of all things Ladies Gaelic in Ulster including coach and referee development, development blitzes for schools and clubs and assisting in rolling out National Ladies Gaelic Initiatives such as Gaelic4Girls and Gaelic4Mothers. She also supports and advises Ladies Ulster Council in their strategic approach to their business and will be developing the new strategy for Ladies Gaelic in Ulster when the current strategy comes to an end in 2010. |

He has also managed the Ireland under 17 compromise rules team including a successful tour of Australia in 2004. Paul played senior football for Donegal for 10 years winning a Senior Ulster and All-Ireland medal in 1992. |

| Playing Background : Diarmaid is a member of the Clan na Gael club in Armagh where he played senior football from 1992-2008 winning two senior championships in 1993/94. He represented St Colman’s college Newry winning Mc Crory and Hogan cups in 1993, and also captained QUB to Sigerson cup success in 2000. He has played for Ulster and Ireland winning 3 Railway cups and the International Rules series in 1998. He played inter county football for Armagh winning 4 Ulster Championships, an Allstar in 1999 and senior All Ireland in 2002. Diarmaid has been on his club committee for last two years in the role of Coaching Officer. |
| Professional Role : As a Regional Development Officer Diarmaid is involved in a wide range of initiatives throughout his region of Armagh Cavan and Monaghan. Such initiatives include Special Needs and Disabilities, Recreational GAA, management of Active Community coaches, CPD courses, and rollout of numerous participation blitzes for clubs and schools. Diarmaid also has role in the management of the DENI school in sport programme. |

| Playing Background : Shane is currently a playing member and coaching officer for Clonoe O’Rahillys, Tyrone. He played right half back for the Clonoe under 21 side who won the Tyrone & Ulster club championships in 2000. In the year previous he had captained the club to their first ever county Division 1 reserve championship title. Following on from there he moved to Liverpool to finish his studies where he played for and captained Liverpool John Moore’s loosing in four championship finals, it wasn’t until Shane took up the management role on the year of finishing his studies that the university achieved their first championship success since 1999. Shane also represented his university by captaining the North West of England to Railway cup success in 2004 as well as being selected at centre half back for the British Universities All-Star team. After Shane finished his studies he landed the job as National Games Development Administrator for the British Universites, the role involved the annual organising and running of all third level GAA events for all codes including Shinty for the whole of the UK. During this time Shane played for the Liverpool club side, Liverpool John Mitchels and lined out at full forward for the team who were beaten by a point in the 2009 All Ireland Junior club Football championship final at Croke Park. |
| Professional Role : Shane is employed as Regional Development Officer for Antrim and Down. | Playing Background : Kieran initially began playing hurley in Holy Child PS, played hurling and football for St Mary’s CBS Belfast, before moving onto play Hurley at 3rd level for the “Poly.” While on a working holiday in Toronto 1981 played Hurling and Football for Garryowen Gac , winning a hurling championship trophy. He was instrumental in reviving hurling within his own club in 1985, winning Belfast JHC, South Antrim JHC and All County JHC in 1986 Played for club, Lamh Dhearg Gac (Antrim) in both hurling and football. Served as club chairman for two years during the nineties and was club treasurer /vice treasurer over an eight year period . He was treasurer of club in 1992 when Lamh Dhearg won Ulster Club of the Year award from the Ulster Gaa Writers as the club had won numerous championships and leagues within the one season in both codes. Managed teams at all levels within club including senior hurling and football. He is currently involved in managing ladies team within his club which started playing in the Antrim leagues 2007. |

| Playing Background : Kevins background is steeped in Gaelic games, he has played hurling and football at all levels for his clubs in Dungiven, at school at St.Patricks college Maghera and during his time at the University of Ulster in Coleraine. With the Kevin Lycnch hurling club he has won 6 senior hurling championships. Kevin is currently in his 8th season on the Derry Senior panel and has recently been named captain for the fourth consecutive season. Kevins only silverware in County colours was winning the Nicky Rackard Cup in 2005. Kevin has been a member of Ulsters Railway cup hurling panel for the past number of seasons and represented Ireland in the International test game against Scotland in 2007. Kevin is also very involved with the underage activity in his local club, Kevin Lynchs where he has been the youth officer for the past 5 years. |
| Professional Role : Kevin delivers programmes to promote and develop hurling in the Inishowen and Derry area. A large part of Kevins working week is spent delivering an extensive coaching and games programme in Primary and post primary schools in his target areas. Through this programme, Kevin helps clubs to develop strong and sustainable links with target primary schools. Kevin helps to develop coaches within his target clubs by delivering CPD courses in his region. Kevin is also responsible for organising an extensive Go Games programme for under 8 to under 12 hurlers in his region which spans the whole year around including indoor games during the winter months and outdoor games throughout the spring and summer. The highlights of this programme are the centralized blitzes held in Owenbeg which attracts clubs from all across the province. Kevin also has many other responsibilities in his job including organising development squad programmes for their seasons, organising summer camps for his target clubs and regional super touch tournaments for under 14 to minor teams. |

Rónán is still heavily involved at underage level running the Hurling Nursery and coaching U8/U10 with Cúchulainns. He is the club Coaching Officer and has been involved in coaching hurling and camogie at club and inter-county level for a number of years. |
| Professional Role : Rónán is responsible for the development of hurling in primary schools, post-primary schools and clubs in Armagh / part of Monaghan including the education of coaches in the region. Rónán worked in Armagh as Hurling GPO and HDM for six years before joining Ulster GAA in May 2009 and is heavily involved in the implementation of the county’s Hurling Development Plan. |

| Playing Background : Michael has been a member of Robert Emmet’s, Slaughtneil for the past 8 years. He previously played Hurling & Football at every level for St Pauls in Belfast were he won 3 Intermediate Hurling championship medals and u16 & u21 Football championship medals. He won All Ireland u18 Vocational Schools with Antrim and a Leinster u18 medal with De La Salle School in 1991 and has represented Antrim at u16, u21 and Senior Hurling. In 1996 he won an Ulster Senior Inter-County Hurling medal with Antrim. Michael has coached at various levels including club u12, u14, u16, Minor, u21 and senior, college level at St Mary’s College and UUJ and at county u14, u15, u16 levels. He continues to coach at his club and with the county development squads. |

| Playing Background : Paul is a past student of the University of Ulster where while playing for Jordanstown he won a Sigerson and freshers sevens medal in 2001 as well as a Ryan cup medal in 2002. After leaving the University of Ulster with a higher national diploma in sports studies, Paul continued his studies in England at St Mary’s Strawberry Hill where he graduated with an Honours degree in Sport Science. While at Strawberry Hill Paul also continued to play Gaelic football where he won two British University Gaelic Football championships in 2003 and 2004 and also won an All Ireland Trench Cup in 2003. He also had the privilege to be named captain of the British University All Stars in 2004. Paul continues to play and coach at his club Brackaville Owen Roes in Tyrone with whom he won a Tyrone and Ulster Intermediate Championship medal in 1999. He has represented Tyrone at minor level in 1999, at Under 21 level in 2002 when he won an Ulster Championship medal and more recently at senior level in 2007 when he won a McKenna Cup and Ulster Senior Championship medal. |
| Professional Role : Ulster University Gaelic Academy – To develop the playing aspect of Gaelic games within the Gaelic Clubs at the Ulster University within the Gaelic Games academy which will form one branch of the Ulster University Sports Academy. Club Development – The main activities regarding this area will incorporate all the clubs meeting together on a regular basis to discuss issues that they can deliver together like coaching sessions, social events and fundraisers. Ensuring that all the clubs are sustainable. Events and Participation – This will involve such events as inter-mural sevens for all codes, the creation of recreational games through CAU competitions as well as All-Ireland Competitions and Uni based initiatives through the sports development Unit- AIM- That UUJ, UUC and UUM compete in all competitions that they are eligible to compete in. School Links/Widening Access – Through the creation of the schools links &events there will be opportunities for coaches to get hands on experience in coaching kids at primary and secondary level as well as widening the access kids from 9 years + get a chance to experience not only coaching but the facilities available through the Ulster University. Coach Education – The creation and delivery of a comprehensive coach education program that suits the needs of the Third Level sector this incorporates coach education and NGB courses. Again these courses will be sports specific and sports generic and will operate on a campus specific basis. Fundamentals/Learn to Train – Through working with the sports development Unit within the University Summer, Easter and Halloween camps will be delivered focusing on the Fundamentals, Learn to Train and Multi-Sport idea. Management, Admin and accountability – This will take the form of over seeing the day to day operation of all the gaelic clubs within University of Ulster regarding fixtures, budgets and such things as fundraising etc. |

| Playing Background : Gary is a member of Tír na nóg GFC Portadown. As a player he has represented his club at every level from underage to senior. He has coached at underage and as senior coach won the intermediate Championship in 2002. Gary also represented the club as a committee member over a ten year period. In Armagh, Gary coached development squads over a five year period and was involved with the men’s under 21 team that won the Ulster Championship in 2007 and also the senior team that won Ulster in 2008. |
| Professional Role : Gary worked as North Armagh Gaelic Football Development Officer for 2 years before taking up his current post with the Ulster Council in March 2006. His main area of responsibility is to promote and develop all aspects of Gaelic games within FE Colleges and Institutes. Coach Education is high on the agenda at F.E, Gary runs N.G.B Awards, and a wide range of workshops, including Safe Guarding Children. |
