Antrim 1-19 Down 0-15

Antrim got their Allianz NHL Division Two campaign off to the perfect start with a 1-19 to 0-15 defeat of neighbours Down at Portafrerry on Sunday.

Antrim’s cause was helped by the sending off of Down’s Stephen Johnson, while Paul Shields scored 0-11 for the winners.

Antrim led by 0-5 to 0-4 at the interval but kicked into life in the second half, with Brendan Herron grabbing the all-important goal and two further points to secure the win.

Allianz NHL Division 3:
Armagh 1-10  Derry 1-10

Derry moved to the top of the Allianz NHL Division 3A despite only drawing with Armagh at the Athletic Grounds on Sunday.

In an intense affair, the final score finished 1-10 apiece with two of the sides tipped for promotion proving closely matched.

Allianz NHL Division 3B:
London 7-21 Tyrone 0-08

As games got underway in Division 3B, London pulled off the performance of the day. The Exiles sit atop the division after a 7-21 to 0-8 hiding of Tyrone in Ruislip.

Allianz NHL Division 4:
Monaghan 4-10 Cavan 3-04

Monaghan eased to a comfortable 4-10 to 3-04 victory over neighbours Cavan in Division 4.

Allianz NHL Division 4:
Fermanagh 1-15 South Down 3-09

In the day’s other game South Down remain unbeaten after getting their second successive draw against Fermanagh in Enniskilen.

The Erne men were picking up their first points as they notched 1-15 to their opponents’ 3-9.
