Monaghan down Oak Leaf Minors

Ulster GAA MFC Quarter Final:
Monaghan 1-12 Derry 0-10

Shane Coyle’s second-half goal helped Monaghan to a 1-12 to 0-10 victory over Derry in Sunday’s ESB Ulster MFC quarter-final at Celtic Park.

The Oak Leafers surged into a four-point lead but Monaghan hit back with an excellent score from the impressive Aaron McCarey.

Derry were 0-6 to 0-4 ahead at the break but Coyle’s goal brought the sides level at 1-4 to 0-7.

Monaghan then added three unanswered points before sealing the win.
