Down are through to the Ulster MFC semi-finals after edging out Cavan in Armagh on Saturday.

The Mourne side had the wind advantage in the first half and David McKibben’s goal helped them to a 1-6 to 0-3 lead at the break.

Cavan hit back with two goals from PP O’Hara and they went in front with four minutes left.

But Down finished strongly with Ross McGarry and Kevin McClorey firing over points to clinch victory.
