U17 Development Squad Blitz
On Saturday 22nd August, Ulster Council GAA ran their last Development Squad Blitz of 2009. It was the turn of the County U17’s in Owenbeg, Dungiven.
The added bonus of this blitz was gaining selection to the Ulster U17 Shinty Training Panel which will play Scotland in Cushendall, Antrim on the weekend of 17-18th October.
The Blitz was 11-a-side and 6 Teams participated in the blitz, Antrim, Armagh A, Armagh B, Derry, Down and Donegal.
Each Team played 5 games each lasting 20min (10mins each way), which resulted in each player playing 100mins of hurling.
This was a participation based Blitz but credit must go to the Armagh A side who were unbeatable in all their games.
