Inaugural Jim McGuigan Cup
The inaugural Jim McGuigan Cup (Ulster intercounty U17 football) will take place this Saturday 25th August at Watty Graham’s GAA, Maghera. The semi final line-up is: Derry v Tyrone; Cavan v Down. The throw-in for both games is 12noon. All media and photographers welcome.
Jim McGuigan served as treasurer for Derry County Board for 32 years. On finishing his term as Derry treasurer in 1995 he was appointed treasurer of the Ulster Council for five years, and following that he continued as a member of the Ulster Council Finance Committee. While in office he saw his native Derry win All Ireland football titles at minor, under 21 and senior level.
