Great Crowd Expected in Casement Park

October 26th, 2012

The ‘Match for Michaela’ is on course to be Ulster’s largest ever floodlit GAA match, which will take place on Saturday 3rd November at Casement Park, Belfast.

The highlight of the evening will be a match between recently crowned All Ireland Football champions Donegal and the best players from Ulster. Donegal Manager Jim McGuinness and Ulster Manager Joe Kernan have named their squads and it is set to be an intriguing, competitive encounter.

The match is part of a major fundraising event which the Ulster GAA are organising in partnership with the Michaela Foundation.

This will be a unique opportunity to view Ulster’s finest footballers in action, and will also be a fitting occasion for fans to welcome the Sam Maguire cup back into the Province. The evening will be compered by Hector Ó hEochagáin, and will also feature live entertainment from Tyrone’s X Factor star Janet Devlin, a special Railway band and other acts to be confirmed as well as music from the volunteers of the Michaela Girls Camp and the famous Artane Band.

All proceeds from the night will go to the Michaela Foundation ( Tickets are now on sale for this special one-off event from , from County Boards, GAA clubs and from participating Supervalu and Centra stores nationwide.  This match is expected to be a sell-out festival and donations are also very welcome. Tickets are priced at £10/€10 for adults and £5/€5 for children. Patron’s can also pay at the gate on the evening of the event but it is recommended that tickets be purchased in advance to avoid disappointment.
