‘Live to Play’ receives Michelin Award
Ulster GAA has won an award for its ‘Live to Play’ Road Safety Campaign.
Earlier this month, at the Michelin factory in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, where the Michelin Man presented Aileen Cummins, a community, health and wellbeing manager at Ulster Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) with one of the awards.
Aileen was selected as a Michelin Road Safety Champion after impressing the judges with her dedication to improve road safety knowledge among young people. She has been instrumental in running the Live to Play road safety initiative, which raises awareness and educates members on how best to stay safe on the roads. The campaign uses GAA sporting personalities to engage children and young people at schools and GAA clubs, while a parallel education programme is delivered by emergency services.
