Shadow Secretary of State visits Derry vs Down fixture

Ulster GAA President Martin McAviney was pleased to welcome Shadow Secretary of State Vernon Coaker MP to Ulster GAA Championship Quarter Final Derry vs Down.

Commenting on the visit the Ulster GAA President said “We were delighted to welcome Vernon and his wife to the game on Sunday. Vernon and his staff have had several engagements with Ulster GAA over the last 18 months and we have always found him to be fair and honest in all dealings. His visit to our game allowed him to sample the fantastic atmosphere of one of our fixtures and we look forward to welcoming him back to another game in the future. We also were pleased to welcome our long time colleague Joint Secretary Barbara Jones and her husband Oliver from the Department of Foreign Affairs to the game.”
