Donegal lift Buncrana Cup
The annual U-16 Inter-county Buncrana Cup Finals took place earlier this month with four counties participating: Donegal, Tyrone, Cavan and Derry.
Donegal came through victors after a great day of Gaelic Football and sporting spirit, they beat Tyrone in the final 3-06 to 0-03
Earlier in the day Donegal had defeated Derry (3-05 to 0-05) in the semi-final while Tyrone had overcome Cavan (3-09 to 1-07).
Ulster GAA President Martin McAviney attended this unique competition and speaking afterwards said, “The Buncrana Cup is an annual competition whereby our U-16 players from across Ulster counties compete. It was great to have four Ulster counties participating this year and it was a great day which highlighted the skills and passion of our young footballers.”
