Jim Nelson RIP
It is with deep sadness that Ulster GAA was informed this morning of the death of Antrim GAA stalwart Jim Nelson of St. Paul’s GAA Belfast.
Jim give his life to the development of Hurling and the GAA, and managed his beloved County Antrim to the All-Ireland Hurling Final in 1989. As a volunteer he managed countless teams for both St. Paul’s and Antrim and was involved in the developing the skills of Hurling Coaches throughout Ulster as a Provincial Master Tutor. He was also a member of the Loughgiel Shamrocks backroom team when they won the All-Ireland club title in 2012.
Jim’s significant legacy will live on in Antrim and Ulster Hurling and our sympathies go to his wife Lilly and Children Linda, Ciara and Hugh.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
