Ulster to host Wheelchair Hurling Tournament
Ulster GAA will host the first round of the M. Donnelly GAA Wheelchair Hurling Interprovincial league for 2015 on Saturday the 27th June 10am-3pm at the Barry McGuigan Sports Hall, Colaiste Oiriall, Monaghan.
Ulster GAA president Martin McAviney met with principal Brendan O Dufaigh, event coordinators and representatives of the Ulster squad to officially launch the event. Martin McAviney said, “M. Donnelly GAA Wheelchair Hurling Interprovincial league is a fantastic All Ireland tournament opening our games to people of all abilities.
“We are tremendously proud of the M Donnelly GAA Wheelchair Hurling Initiative, as it provides a competitive tournament for those with mobility issues. This is part of the GAA’s wider inclusion strategy.
“I commend all those participating and I have no doubt we will have a great tournament ahead of us this weekend.”
