The teams finished 1-4 and from 5-8 in each section were grouped together for the finals. The division 1 semi-finals saw Dungannon defeat the Kevin Lynch H.C and Ballinascreen overcome Slaughtneil in two very competitive games. In the final Ballinascreen pushed the fancied Dungannon team all the way only to lose out by the narrowest of margins at the final whistle. The Division 2 finals were hosted in Banagher, where Swatragh defeated the host club to set up a final meeting with Lavey who defeated Carrickmore in the other semi-final. Swatragh defeated Lavey in the final in another very competitive game.
The division 3 semi-final pairings were, St Eunans Letterkenny v Burt and Coleraine v Naomh Colmcille of Tyrone. St Eunans and Coleraine won their respective semi-finals to set up a final meeting. Coleraine proved full value for their win in the final producing some very good hurling and getting the scores at important times in the game. The division 4 finals were held in Slaughtneil. Slaughtneil B team defeated Kevin Lynch H.C B team in the first semi-final whilst Na Magha defeated Castledawson in the second semi-final. Na Magha went on to defeat Slaughtneil in the final match.
Congratulations to the 4 victorious teams and to all the clubs who took part over the past month. The standard of hurling was very high this year with some great individual talent on display. A number of the Derry clubs in particular were very evenly matched which makes for a very exciting Feile na Gael in the Spring, with anyone of a number of clubs in with a genuine chance of winning. Thanks again to everyone who helped make the competition a success.
