Anglo-Celt Cup visits schools in Donegal & Fermanagh
The Anglo-Celt Cup has been on a tour of schools in Donegal and Fermanagh in the run-up to their Ulster Senior Championship quarter final clash this Sunday at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey.
This week pupils from St Columban’s PS Belcoo and from Bruckless NS enjoyed getting their hands on the famous cup.
The School Council from St Columban’s PS Belcoo organised a 32 County Jersey Day in aid of the ‘Oisin McGrath Foundation.’ Oisin was a past pupil of the school.
The children managed to collect all 32 county jerseys and GAA President Aogan O Fearghail dropped in to congratulate the pupils on their wonderful initiative.
St Columban’s PS Principal Liam Magee paid tribute to the pupils for their foresight in coming up with the idea and their enthusiasm in following it through.
He thanked all those who had made donations and stated that Oisin McGrath Foundation helps many people through the three strands it supports:
- Organ Donation Awareness
- Brain Injury Research and Awareness
- Local Youth Sports Development
