National Pitch Maintenance Work Group at Garvaghey Centre

The National Pitch Maintenance Work Group will hold a Provincial Education Day for all clubs at the Garvaghey Centre in Co. Tyrone on Saturday 2nd July.

This highly informative day on pitch maintenance aims to assist clubs to maintain pitches to the highest possible standards.

Lectures with on-site demonstrations will commence at 10am sharp on the following:

  • Aeration & Plant Nutrition.
  • Weed Identification and Control.
  • Mowing – Machinery Maintenance & Selection.
  • Pitch Line Marking Techniques.

There will be a break for lunchtime and the day will conclude at 4pm.

There is an €80 fee per person and this includes:

  • Membership of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Ireland.
  • Receipt GCSAI Magazine for 12 months.
  • Access to GCSAI Website with Pitch Maintenance Guidelines & INformation.
  • Avail of GCSAI Continuous Professional Development Programme (This CPD Programme will ensure a more efficient, confident and professional Groundsman).
