US Ambassador and Consul General visit Ulster GAA

Ulster GAA were delighted to welcome Kevin O’Malley, U.S. Ambassador to Ireland and Dan Lawton, U.S. Consul General to Belfast at Ceannarás Uladh Armagh today.

Both officials were visiting local community groups and met with Ulster GAA President Michael Hasson, Provincial Secretary & CEO Dr. Danny Murphy, Vice-President Oliver Galligan, Past President Martin McAviney, PRO Michael Geoghegan, Head of Community Diarmaid Marsden and PA to the CEO Geraldine McKavanagh to discuss a range of issues including a presentation on the work of Ulster GAA.

In welcoming the officials, President Michael Hasson commented ‘Ulster GAA are deeply honoured to host Ambassador O’Malley and Consul General Lawton at our offices this afternoon. Ulster GAA has had a long-standing relationship with the U.S. Consulate and we look forward to strengthening this relationship and working with both Kevin and Dan during their term.‘
