Dalton semi-finals set up for later in week

Yesterday was quarter-final day in the Danske Bank Dalton Cup and Maghera, Cavan, Omagh and Abbey CBS will contest the semi-finals later in the week.
St Patrick’s Maghera had a comfortable 6-12 to 2-2 win over St Mary’s Magherafelt.
They led by 4-8 to 0-0 at the break with goals from Michael Mulholland, Jodie McDermott, Luke Diamond and Shea McKenna and Mulholland and Fergal Coyle hit the net during the second half.
That means they now face Abbey CBS, who won the Newry derby yesterday afternoon by 2-14 to 4-2 for St Colman’s.
Eoin Loughran was the star man at Abbey Park with 1-6, while the other goal-scorer was Jamie Dornan.
St Patrick’s Cavan had a comfortable 3-12 to 1-6 win over St Patrick’s Academy Dungannon with goals from Liam McEntee, Ben Monaghan and Richard Ayodele, while Omagh CBS were even more emphatic in seeing off St Michael’s Enniskillen at Trillick.
Despite goals from Diarmuid King and Fionn O’Brien, Omagh came through by 5-12 to 2-2 with captain Conor McGillian (2), Patrick Corcoran, Gavin Potter and Cian Murphy scoring the goals.
