Ulster GAA expresses sympathy on the death of Martin McGuinness
Ulster GAA expresses its sadness on the passing of former deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness.
Martin was a true friend of the GAA and one of his proudest moments came in 1993 when Henry Downey lifted the Sam Maguire Cup – a photo of which hung proudly in his office at Stormont – as Derry claimed the All-Ireland Football title.
A regular attender at our games, Martin was an important voice for the GAA. He showed a tremendous warmth and generosity of spirit and he will be sadly missed by the entire GAA community.
We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Bernie, sons Fiachra & Emmett, daughters Fionnuala & Grainne, grandchildren and the entire McGuinness family circle.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
