Cúrsa Cuimhneacháin Shéamuis de Faoite 2018 Launched
An Irish language course sponsored by the Ulster Council of the GAA that is FREE to members of Cumann Lúthchleas Gael who wish to improve their Gaeilge or begin to learn the Irish language will run this summer from Monday 16th July until Friday 20th July in Downings, Co. Donegal.
Now in it’s 30th year, Cúrsa Cuimhneacháin Shéamuis de Faoite 2018 was officially launched by Michael Hasson, Uactarán Chomhairle Uladh CLG on Friday 11th May.
The course which has been named after one of its original founders Shéamuis de Faoite, consists of three levels ranging from the Bun Rang for beginners to the Meán Rang or Intermediate level for those who have a reasonable degree of Irish and Ard Rang for those who are proficient in Irish and simply want to brush up on and use their language skills.
Classes are run each day by qualified teachers and this is followed each day by singing and céilí dancing classes.
“The week-long course provides a great opportunity for beginners to acquire a knowledge of the language and for the more fluent speakers, a chance to revise their Irish and renew friendships,” commented Michael Hasson.
Application forms for this year’s course are now available to download here.
Final date for receipt of applications is Friday 6th of July 2018.
