O’Neill’s Ulster GAA Coaching Conference focuses on Player Development
The 15th O’Neill’s Ulster GAA Coaching & Games Development Conference will take place on Saturday 17th November in the Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone.
The theme of this year’s conference will focus on the Player Development Pathway.
Presenters will highlight skills to enhance players throughout their development, the key relationship building required to motivate and grow players and also the stresses and strains experienced by players, which may affect their mental well-being. Among the speakers who will be in attendance are Brian Cuthbert and Michael Dempsey, along with a host of other top players and coaches, such as Sean Cavanagh, Marty Clarke and Mattie McGleenan on hand to offer their knowledge to the coaches present.
There will also be the opportunity for coaches to learn through workshops. These will look at:
- goalkeeping
- managing injury risk
- coaching through games
- football skills, breakdown and development
The afternoon sessions will be focused on keynote addresses by a number of coaches, who have demonstrated vast experience of developing players and individuals to perform at the highest levels.
