Tyrone cruise into Ulster Senior Championship semi-final
Tyrone swept Antrim aside this evening claiming a 2-23 to 2-9 victory at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.
A first half blitz that saw ten players get on the scoresheet helped the Red Hands to a comfortable half time lead, one they were never going to lose.
Cathal McShane topped scored in the first half with 0-5 to his name while Tiarnan McCann found the net as Tyrone led 1-16 to 0-5 at the break.
Antrim didn’t quit to their credit and scored second half goals through corner back Patrick McCormick and centre half forward Matthew Fitzpatrick.
Tyrone rested a number of their star performers in the second half but subs Darren McCurry, Kyle Coney and Connor McAliskey were all on target, McAliskey netting an excellent second goal for Tyrone.
The Red Hands will now play either Fermanagh or Donegal in the semi-final.
