Early goals good for Ballybay in Faul

GOALS in the opening half from Julius Sniauksta and Tristan Keenan unlocked this Danske Bank Faul Cup semi-final in Newry and sent Ballybay Community College through to a final meeting with either Lumen Christi from Derry or Bailieborough Community School.
The football was open and direct throughout the game, but Ballybay had Aaron Hamilton, Shane Slevin and Michael Coyle who could create the openings to deliver scores.
Coláiste Feirste however relied heavily on Niall Burns for scores with Joe McNally and Michael Brady always working hard.
Ballybay led by 2-6 to 0-4 at the break and when Michael Coyle found the net seven minutes into the second half, there was no way back for the Belfast side. Oisin Crawford hit a goal in reply but the Monaghan side was now in control and pushed on with some good scores, including a fine point from sub Ryan Duffy who looked very lively.
