Official launch of EirGrid Ulster U20 Football Championship
The 2020 EirGrid Ulster Under 20 Football Championship was officially launched last night at the Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey.
Players and managers from across all nine counties gathered with representatives from Ulster GAA and competition sponsors, EirGrid, for the event.
Speaking at the launch, Ulster GAA President Oliver Galligan said:
“I am delighted to welcome you all here for the official launch of the 2020 EirGrid Ulster U20 Football Championship which commences this Saturday with an opening round game between Derry and Fermanagh at Celtic Park.”
EirGrid representative Fergal Keenan said:
“We are proud to continue our sponsorship of the Under 20 Football Championship and look forward to following the GAA stars of the future throughout the competition.”
The EirGrid Ulster Under 20 Football Championship will throw-in at 2pm on Saturday 8th February when Fear Manach travel to Celtic Park to take on Doire in the preliminary round game.
Quarter final fixtures will take place the following weekend on Saturday 15th February between –
- An Cabhán v An Dún, 2pm at Kingspan Breffni
- Dún na nGall v Muineachán, 2pm at Ballybofey
- Ard Mhacha v Tír Eoghain, 2pm at the Athletic Grounds
- Aontroim v Doire/Fear Manach, 2pm at TBC
