Learn to coach Gaelic Games with Ulster GAA’s online Foundation Course

Ulster GAA is excited to offer future coaches an introduction to Coach Education with the online delivery of the GAA Foundation Award.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions in place, Ulster GAA will provide an e-Learning dual foundation course in order to meet growing demand across the Province for virtual Coach Education.

The first on the Coaching Education pathway, this course will enable participants to assist in the organisation of both Football and Hurling coaching activities.

No prior coaching experience is required to enrol.

Participants are required to:

  • complete the eight course modules in sequence in their own time, by the closing date of Friday 6th November 2020.
  • complete a Child Safeguarding course (Online) – (dates for completion of this will be issued in due course).
  • complete a Practical Assessment – (dates for completion of this will be issued in due course).

If you already are an account holder;

  • Log in
  • Click here
  • Enter the enrolment key – Ulster2020
  • Your unique profile will be transferred onto the course and you can begin the modules.

If you are not a registered account holder;

  • Register on https://learning.gaa.ie/ and follow the login steps.
  • Click here
  • Enter the enrolment key – Ulster2020
  • Your unique profile will be transferred onto the course and you can begin the modules.

Remember, to get certification you need to complete all modules in order along with a Child Safeguarding course and Practical Assessment.

Child Safeguarding:

You must have completed GAA Safeguarding 1, Child Protection in Sport Awareness course. If your certificate is up to date (completed within the last 3-5 years) you may renew this by completing the GAA Online Refresher here.

Practical Assessment:
