A strong second half performance from Coláiste Feirste saw the Belfast side reach the Quarter Finals of the Danske Bank U19 Ward Cup when they defeated De La Salle, Downpatrick yesterday afternoon.
Coláiste Feirste led by 1-7 to 2-1 at the break, with Lorcan Phillips @CLGNaomhPol getting the goal to cancel out the Downpatrick majors from Harry O’Bank and Caolan Vaughan.
Points from Niall Morrison and another three pointer from O’Bank kept De La Salle in touch, but the men from the city pulled clear with Phillips bagging his second goal and strong performances from Tarlach Enright Gort na Móna CLG and Odhrán Ó Cathain Davitts GAC Belfast
