HURLING PLAYER OF THE MONTH
HURLING PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Alongside our sponsors Danske Bank, Ulster Schools recognise the achievements of a footballer and hurler every month from across the spectrum of ongoing games and competitions.
For December, the Danske Bank Hurling Player of the Month is Tom McGrattan from St Patrick’s Downpatrick.
Last month, Red High claimed the Danske Bank Mageean Cup for the first time in their history, and while their victory was inspired by top quality hurling right across the team, nobody epitomised that more than Tom.
In their semi final win against St Louis’ Ballymena, Tom produced a man-of-the-match performance, scoring 1-9 across the 60+ minutes in a breath taking display of skill and accuracy. He was no less a threat in the Final against St Patrick’s Maghera, with his 0-9 contributing significantly to their historic title.
Comhghairdeas Tom
