Ballybay take Faul Cup with powerful display
The
Monaghan school dominated the game from start to finish, scoring a goal and a point within the first minute with Ryan Duffy in impressive form for the winners. Overall, they were just too strong for a gallant Carrick side for whom Michael Callaghan and Darren Cunningham fought bravely.
Ballybay were 3-9 to 0-4 ahead at the interval. Carrick had their best spell during the third quarter, but lost Evan Bonner to a black card and the Monaghan school picked off three late goals to give them a very convincing win.
Last week, one of the Coláiste na Carraige players, Ryan Jones, had to be airlifted to hospital with a head injury following an accidental collision. Thankfully, Ryan was present at the game today, where those in attendance made a contribution towards the

Not a sight that any of us wish to encounter during a game. Thanks to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) and Air Ambulance NI for their speedy response today in assisting the injured player ?? ?
