Ulster GAA seeks volunteers to assist at Ukraine Refugee Centres

Ulster GAA is seeking a small group of volunteers to assist at the Ukraine Refugee Assistance Centres in Newry and Craigavon.

Working in partnership with the British Red Cross and Volunteer Now, Ulster GAA is providing volunteers in ‘Meet and Greet’ roles – welcoming refugees and their sponsors to the centres and helping them navigate through the advice clinics.  The key statutory organisations are providing essential advice in the centres including; welfare, housing, education, health, immigration advice etc..

Volunteers are required as follows:

  • Newry Leisure Centre: Every Tuesday with two shifts available 9:30am-1pm and 12:30pm-4:30pm
  • Brownlow Community Hub in Craigavon: Every Wednesday with two shifts available 9:30am-1pm and 12:30pm-4:30pm

Positions are available now and volunteers are free to select shifts as suitable to them.
