Ulster GAA Cúchulainn Initiative concludes with visit to Croke Park
Ulster GAA’s Cúchulainn Initiative for 2023 concluded this week when the Lurgan Cúchulainns visited Croke Park in Dublin.
Over the course of the last six months the group have grown together with new friendships being developed and experiences shared through the variety of activities facilitated by Ulster GAA.
The final element of the programme has seen the group complete the Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership through the Leadership Skills Foundation.
The girls received their awards whilst in Croke Park from GAA President Larry McCarthy who along with Ulster GAA CEO Brian McAvoy recognised their efforts throughout the year as well as thanking their schools for making this opportunity possible through their commitment to the programme.
The Lurgan Cúchulainns for 2023 were girls from Brownlow Integrated College, Lurgan Junior High School and St Ronan’s College.
The Cúchulainn Initiative is funded through the Executive Office Central Good Relations Programme.
