Spectator information ahead of Ulster Championship Semi Final weekend

It’s Semi Finals weekend in the Ulster Senior Football Championship, with ties taking place in Clones and Derry.

Attending the games? Here’s all the info you need to know…

Match Day Information – Ulster Championships 2024

Saturday 27th April

Ulster Senior Football Championship Semi Final – Armagh v  Down (live on GAA Go only)

5.15pm – St Tiernach’s Park, Clones

  • Turnstiles shall open at 3.30pm
  • Match Programmes will be available inside the ground priced at £4/€4.
  • Entry to the Gerry Arthurs Stand will be via turnstiles 29-34 and is fully reserved.
  • Entry to the Pat McGrane shall be via turnstiles 11-16 only and the seating is allocated on a first come basis.
  • Entry to the Eastern Stand is via 43-44 and the seating is allocated on a first come basis.
  • Entry to the Hill Terrace is via turnstiles 6-10 only.
  • Entry to the O’Duffy Terrace is via turnstiles 19-20 only.
  • Please download your ticket before arriving at the ground.
  • Tickets are available to purchase for this fixture at ulster.gaa.ie/tickets/

The following car parks are available:

  • Scotshouse Rd – ABP, McLoughlin’s yard, LCP tyres and roadside
  • Newbliss Rd – Mackle’s  (machinery yard), McGuirk’s and one side of the road
  • Roslea Rd – outside the graveyard and one side of the road (both sides of barriers), St Tiernach’s school
  • Clones centre – Town car park, Freeman’s, HSE care centre, Mackle’s, Strain’s, SuperValu, McCaughey’s  yard, Mart (TBC)
  • O’Duffy St – Cunningham’s (Tractor Motors), Credit Union car park
  • Monaghan Rd – Applegreen/Cunninghan Commercials, Felhues, one side of road

The highlighted areas show available parking, there are several car parks off 98 Avenue (right at the lights from Monaghan). There are also car parks on the Scotshouse Rd (Straight at the lights, then turn left). Parking is also available as you turn left at the lights.

Traffic can easily access Clones via N54 from Monaghan and the R183 from Newbliss (car parking also available along the Newbliss Rd). There is limited parking along the Roslea Rd itself.

Coach Parking

  • Coach drop-off on Monaghan St
  • All coaches to park at McQuaid’s on Cavan Road during the match (park tight)
  • Coaches to proceed to collection point at 6.30pm
  • For collection – turn right at the Round Tower Bar, take second left back into the Diamond (opposite drop off point).
  • Please respect the premises (no dumping litter)


Ulster Senior Football Championship Semi Final –Donegal v Tyrone (live on BBC 2 NI)

2pm – Celtic Park, Derry

  • Turnstiles open at 12 noon.
  • There will be no movement between separate areas of the ground permitted.
  • Match Programmes will be available inside the grounds priced at £4/€4
  • Entry to the Main Stand is via turnstile 9-15 only and seating is fully allocated.
  • Entry to the Bluebell Terrace is via turnstiles 22-31 only.
  • Entry to the College Fields Brandywell Terrace is via turnstiles 1-8 only.
  • Please download your ticket if applicable before arriving at the ground. Due to the large attendance there will be limited mobile coverage in and around the stadium.

Car Parking

Car parking is available at:

  • St Cecelia’s College, Bligh’s Lane
  • The Model School, Northland Road
  • The Showgrounds, Lone Moor Road

Match Day Information – Ulster Championships 2024

  • No matchday sales will occur at any Ulster Championship fixture.
  • All Ulster Championship fixtures at Minor, U20 and senior are all ticket fixtures with all attendees requiring a ticket.
  • Tickets can be purchased at ulster.gaa.ie/tickets
  • Refunds/exchanges are not permitted.
  • Tickets must be purchased online or at selected stores in advance.

  • Ulster GAA define juvenile tickets as those under the age of 16 and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children aged 2 or under do not require a ticket.
  • Any patrons who require additional assistance purchasing tickets, please contact your club, county board or Ulster GAA on tickets.ulster@gaa.ie or 028 (048) 3752 1900. All tickets will be scanned on entry to the ground. No ticket, no entry.
