
Ulster GAA is now accepting applications for 2026 Young Leaders Programme.
This prestigious six-month programme is open to young people aged 16–24 years old and focuses on developing leadership skills of future volunteer leaders in the GAA.
Participants will take part in:
- A three-day Young Leaders Academy at Armagh Harps (22–24 July 2026), covering coaching, safeguarding, inclusion, nutrition, sustainability and more
- Four online workshops throughout July and August, including sports communication, sports science and inclusion
- A two-day hiking expedition in the Mournes as part of the Joint Award
- 13 weeks of volunteering within their club
- Ongoing participation in Gaelic Games
On completion of the programme, participants achieve an impressive set of awards and certificates, including:
- Ulster GAA Young Leaders Award
- Introduction of Coaching Gaelic Games
- Safeguarding Award
- Sports Inspire Award
- Youth Impact Award
- GAA for All Certificate
