Easter Camp at St Mary’s University
Children from West Belfast and surrounding areas came together over Easter in St. Mary’s University Belfast to gain new and refine existing GAA skills at the Ranch’s first ever GAA Training camp for Primary School children.
Over the three day camp boys and girls ranging from 6 to 12 years of age took part in Gaelic Football, Hurling/Camogie and Handball activities delivered by college coaches with high level coaching awards from their respected codes in conjunction with the top class training facilities across all codes.
The camp was enjoyed by participants and coaches alike and a great interest has been generated regarding a summer camp at the Ranch.
GAA development Officer at St. Mary’s Stephen Beattie stated “I would like to thank all the coaches who gave up their time to share their expertise and make the camp the success it was and the children for their enthusiasm, we now have a sound foundation to build upon in order to provide this great opportunity to the young Gaels of Belfast”.
