Ulster Club Leagues set to commence this weekend
There are 36 teams entered in the 2019 Ulster Football Club League. This year sees the introduction of the Junior League in addition to the Senior and Intermediate sections.
Senior
14 teams will take part in the Ulster GAA Football Senior Club League. The Senior League competition will be played in a Conference style League format, where all teams will initially play three games.
After Round 3 has been completed, the League standings (as per Riail 6.21 & 6.38 T.O. 2018) will determine the knockout stages and teams will be ranked 1-16. Highest ranked teams will have Home advantage in all games up to the Final and repeat pairings will be avoided at all stages where possible.
Intermediate
12 teams will take part in the Ulster GAA Football Intermediate Club League. The Intermediate League competition will consist of three groups of four teams, with all teams initially playing three games.
After Round 3 has been completed, the League standings (as per Riail 6.21 & 6.38 T.O. 2018) will determine the knockout stages and teams will be ranked 1-12.
Highest ranked teams will have Home advantage in all games up to the Final and repeat pairings will be avoided at all stages where possible. The teams ranked 1-4 (3 x group winners and best runner up) will progress straight to the quarter-finals.
The remaining 8 teams will take part in a Playoff Round;
Junior
Eight teams will take part in the Ulster GAA Football Junior Club League and will consist of two groups of four teams. After all games have been completed, the League standings (as per Riail 6.21 & 6.38 T.O. 2018) will determine the knockout stages with all teams progressing to the quarter final stage.
