Ulster Wheelchair Hurlers in the running for National Lottery 25th Birthday Awards
Ulster GAA’s Wheelchair Hurlers have been nominated in the Best Sport Project Category in the 25th Birthday National Lottery Awards and need your help to win!
The Wheelchair Hurlers are one of ten groups nominated and are in with a chance of winning the Sports Award and the £10,000 prize.
Wheelchair Hurling provides an outlet for those in wheelchairs to play and compete in a competitive environment representing their province.
The National Lottery funding for the programme, through the Sport NI Active Clubs programme, allowed two co-ordinators to introduce and develop the sport, provide wheelchairs and hire fully accessible sports facilities for the athletes.
