Muineachán Club Championship Update

Championship Club Football in Monaghan reaches quarter final stages this weekend.

In the GreenField Foods Senior Football Championship Scotstown and Ballybay topped the group in their respective leagues and advanced straight to the semi-finals.  This weekend at 2pm Carrickmacross will meet 2019 Ulster Club Intermediate Champions Magheracloone in the first quarter final, which will have deferred coverage on TG4 on Sunday. The pairing of Truagh and Inniskeen will determine the other quarter final on Saturday at 5pm.  2019 Senior Champions Clontibret will face Castleblayney in Round One of the regulation playoff in Cremartin as will Donaghmoyne who will meet Latton in the other relegation battle.

In the McElvaney Waste & Recycling Intermediate Football Championship Cremartin and Emyvale reached the semi-final positions and will await the winners of Blackhill, Doohamlet, Corduff and Monaghan Harps. 2019 Ulster Club Junior Champions Blackhill meet neighbours Doohamlet in Toome at 5:45pm on Saturday with Corduff and Monaghan Harps facing each other for a semi-final position also on Saturday at 5:45pm. Battling Round 1 of relegation in the Intermediate Championship will be Killanny & Currin, Eire Og and Tyholland.

Sunday the 30th the Universal Graphic Junior Championship are in full flight with four quarter finals. Aughnamullen and Aghabog offer the first quarter final paring at 2pm. In Scotstown, Drumhowan meet Sean McDermotts also at 2pm.  The first 5pm game Clones meet Rockcorry in Latton and Oram face Toome in Blackhill at 5pm. 2019 history repeats itself in our AM Hurleys Senior Hurling Championship Final as Truagh will try to make amends for narrowly missing out on a Hurling title against the opposition of 2019 Senior Hurling Champions Castleblayney Hurling on Sunday the 13th. In the AM Hurley Junior Championship Monaghan Harps Hurling will meet Clontibret also on the 13th. Games will be lived streamed here.
