Sport Uniting Communities ‘virtual stadium tours’ prove a big success
Community Sport Development Officers from Ulster GAA, Irish Football Association and Ulster Rugby recently held a virtual tour webinar as part of the Sport Uniting Communities Programme 2021.
Traditionally participants visit the three stadiums but Covid-19 regulations has meant that these club educational visits are delivered online.
Shared tours to the Croke Park, Kingspan Stadium and the National football Stadium at Windsor Park allow Clubs from different codes to address perceptions and build relationships. This will provide informal opportunities for networking for people from different religious backgrounds
In total, 149 participants from 30 clubs across the province participated in the three virtual stadium tours. The focus of the evening was to deliver an enjoyable and insightful experience into each of the governing body’s home arena. Volunteers were able to enjoy quizzes that tested their knowledge of the tours, and participants praised the event.

Attention will now turn to the next Volunteer Development Webinar scheduled for the 27th April.
