Young Volunteers consider impact of sport on Climate Change
Ulster GAA joined the Irish Football Association and Ulster Rugby to host the annual Multi Sport Youth Forum ahead of the UEFA Nations League Northern Ireland v Bulgaria game recently.
Twenty-seven young volunteers participated in the Forum which focused on sustainability in sport with the session facilitated by Keep NI Beautiful (KNIB) and the National Trust. The young people explored the issue of climate change and how sport can play its part in helping the planet.
The Multi Sport Youth Forum aims to bring together young sports volunteers from across the three sports to explore key issues relating to volunteering and sport. The Forum is a good opportunity for the young people to learn about each others sport and to socialise together to enjoy a game of football. For many of the young volunteers it was their first time in the National Stadium at Windsor Park. This element helps to break down barriers and build good relationships between young sports volunteers.
