Following the conclusion of the group stages last weekend, the 2020 Derry Senior and Intermediate Championships are in full swing.
The knockout stages for another keenly contested Senior Football Championship begin next weekend, with the last 16 throwing up a number of notable fixtures. Defending champions Magherafelt will take on Lavey while last year’s runners-up Glen face Kilrea. Slaughtneil are no strangers to the business end of the Championship and they will hope to build on their promising opening three games when they meet last year’s Intermediate champions Foreglen.
The Intermediate Football Championship has reached the last 12, with the top four teams during the round-robin series (Steelstown, Faughanvale, Greenlough, Castledawson) rewarded with a bye to the quarter-finals.
The Junior Championship is still at the group stages, with Craigbane and Desertmartin starting strongly.

Meanwhile, the hurling championship has reached the semi-final stage. Ulster champions Slaughtneil will be looking to continue their dominance of the Derry club scene but neighbours Swatragh stand in their way this weekend.
Adding to the flavour of the unusual 2020 Club Championship in Derry is the ability for viewers to watch every single moment of each game on Derry GAA’s new dedicated streaming platform “We Are Derry”.
For £30, Gaels in the county – and around the world – can already watch full coverage of over 50 games from this season’s group games, on-demand, using connected TVs and smart devices.
In addition to this unprecedented coverage, they will be able to see twelve live matches from the Derry Championships, including both SFC semi-finals and finals across senior, intermediate, junior and hurling.
