Ulster GAA is delighted to announce 2019 Young Leaders Programme targeting outstanding young GAA volunteers from across Ulster’s nine counties. This is an exciting and innovative programme aimed at young GAA members to build their skills and knowledge to help them become Young GAA Leaders.
The Programme will be delivered through a Leadership Academy targeting young people aged 16-24 and will run across 4 days – 25th and 26th July and 1st and 2nd August in Tyrone GAA Garvaghey Centre. It will include a 25-hour Club Placement at their local club with the placement being overseen by a club mentor who will help the young people put the knowledge learned into practice.
All skills learned will assist with the personal development of the young person, providing them with strong transferable skills and knowledge, which will not only help them in a GAA setting, but also in their quest for further education or employment.
Key Programme modules for the four days are shown to the right of the page.
Ulster GAA believe this programme will be one of a kind for GAA volunteers in Ulster, initially targeting three 16-24 year olds from each county in Ulster.
