Ulster GAA statement on Covid-19
Following the Taoiseach’s statement regarding Covid-19 yesterday, the GAA (as well as the Camogie Association and LGFA) have taken the decision to suspend all activity at club, county and education levels with immediate effect until midnight on Sunday 29th March 2020.
All club and inter-county fixtures organised by Ulster GAA are postponed until after this date. Further information about the potential rescheduling of these games will be published in due course. The Scór Sinsir Ulster Final due to take place on 21st March has also been postponed.
For clarity, there is no ban on GAA social clubs staying open during this period. However, in line with yesterday’s statement, all indoor mass gatherings of more than 100 people should not proceed.
This issue facing our communities is much bigger than just sport and we trust that all our units across the province will act in a responsible manner and adhere rigidly to this suspension of activities.
The Association is encouraging all members to continue to follow the guidelines which have been provided by the relevant health authorities.
