‘Healthy Communities and Mental Health’ online workshop coming up

Ulster GAA, Ulster Rugby and the Irish Football Association will present ‘Healthy Communities and Mental Health’, an interactive online workshop delivered as part of the Sport Uniting Communities project.

This event will focus on mental health within our sports clubs and the supports available from each organisation and/or charity partners.

Maura McMenamin (Ulster GAA Health and Well-Being Officer) will outline initiatives and strategies available to GAA clubs, and members, to promote positive mental health.

Extern will describe the work their charity delivers in the field of mental health, and discuss their link to Ulster Rugby, and the resources and support available to clubs who may need it.

Joe Donnelly (TAMHI) will present on the work his organisation delivers to sports clubs and groups who use sport to raise awareness of mental health and resilience. He will also outline ‘Ahead of the Game’ the Irish Football Association Foundations’ mental health programme for football clubs.
